For the last few weeks you have probably noticed that I have been posting pictures of what I am eating for lunch.
Backstory: Jennifer and I went to an oriental market and picked up some random ramen cups.
So. This one. Nissin’s Savory Beef Yakisoba.
- Remove half of the top
- Pierce some holes in it with your fork
- Remove the two packets. One of them… is beef … fat. Seriously.
- Add water to the noodles.
- Wait three minutes.
- Drain the noodles.
- Add the spice and fat packet.
I’m finding myself liking cups of noodles that require the draining as the sauce packet is usually pretty good.
This was interesting. There was lettuce (?) in it. There were also pieces of freeze dried ground beef (??? at least it looked like beef. consulting the ingredients indicated that this could be TVP) in the cup. There were also carrots in this.
It was kind of weird to squeeze a packet of beef fat into the bowl. Upon consulting the ingredients…. I dont know if this was beef fat or some concoction of something that looked like fat with flecks in it. I should have taken a picture of this. It was a little odd.
This was good. I don’t know if I would get this again because of the beef fat packet… but it definitely tasted like beef.
